The consequences of ex-cop Derek Chauvin's actions, for the murder of George Floyd, continues as Floyd's family planned a lawsuit against him.
His family "intends on holding Derek Chauvin fully accountable in every aspect, criminal, and civil," attorney Benjamin Crump explained to CNN, as reported by New York Post.
Crump went into details of Chauvin's actions when the ex-cop pressured his knee into Floyd's neck, stating, "It wasn't just the knee of Derek Chauvin that killed George Floyd in Minneapolis," Crump mentioned.
"It was the knee of the entire police department. Because when you have that kind of culture and behavior of a police department, it is foreseeable that something like this is going to happen."
Although he faces charges it's ridiculous on how Chavin could possibly continue to recieve pension benefits worth over $1 million during retirement... Even if he is to be convicted, New York Post also reported.
He currently faces charges of second degree murder.
