NYC is close to getting back to normal after Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the city is ready to enter phase two of resuming businesses once the pandemic is recognized as an issue in the past. Cuomo made his announcement public with a conference Wednesday afternoon.
Phase two suggests that bars, and restaurants are allowed to reopen. Furthermore, professional services, real-estate along with leasing, and in-store retail are additional businesses that can also reopen, Eyewitness News reported. With positive a result of testings, Cuomo made his proposal final for businesses to reopen.
"New York City will have been Phase 1 for 14 days. Look at all the numbers. All the numbers are good," he mentioned. "Look at the number of tests, the positive tests, you look at it from the point of reopening, the numbers are good. Hospitalizations, since reopening, the numbers are good. So New York City is on track to enter Phase 2 on Monday."
