His strong knowledge of video games is well documented trough his coverage on his entertainment website. However, Editor ands Chief of Reviewfix.com Patrick Hickey Jr. has extended his passion over video game through his latest book entitled "Mind Behind Video Games."
It's not just one book he's published as Hickey's project is considered his 8th book which reveals his commitment in the publishing business. Additionally, Hickey kept his word to get his book published even though it was a long journey.
"Each book has taken nine month to write," the video game guru mentioned. "I've written seven books in the series since I began in October 2016."
The road to turn his book vision into a reality didn't fear him because it was the research that he found fascinated to ensure that he gets the job done.
"The research is my favorite part," Hickey expressed of the experience to publish his book. Every moment was major to him... at every detail. "Talking to game developers and playing games all day? Turning into a book? Getting those books in Harvard, Yale, and over 600 more libraries around the world? I love it!," he added with full excitement.
His hard work to introduce his book to the public has received positive responses based on opportunities he's received this far. "The books have done great and opened so many doors for me as a writer, historian, voice actor and so much more," Hickey revealed. They've changed my life forever.
Aside from the concepts of his book of informative video games, there's also a defiance which expresses that video games are more than fun and games as mentioned by Hickey. There's even a deeper meaning of the value of video games in terms of the developers.
"It makes them look at the people that made the games and understand how important they are," he said.
The book is a success despite that the process was a challenge. Scratch the challenge because he remained committed to his goal based on consistency, honesty and the will to never give up. Additionally, Hickey listened to people who advised him to write what he knows.
With Hickey's passion, and knowledge over video games, the gaming guru hopes for people to that video games are highly paid development in pop culture in the world.
