Shooting Spree Leaves 20 Dead In El Paso Texas

A major shooting took the lives of 20 people and left 26 other people injured on Saturday at a Walmart store in El Paso Texas where a 21 year old suspect was arrested and brought into custody. The suspect, Patrick Crusius, is the man who authorities identified through surveillance where he entered the store with an AK-47.

The store was crowded with approximately 3,000 people who were shopping for back to school gear until Crusius walked into Walmart and fired multiple rounds Seargent Robert Gomez, a police spokesman, explained to CBS News.

Crusius's violent actions caused 11 victims to be escorted to the El Paso University of Medical Center where one passed away. 11 of the patients included a 4-month-old child they were treating, the hospital stated. In addition, a statement was made by the Medical Centers' Spokesman, Ryan Mielke, where he said that all victims experienced traumatic injuries as a result of the attacks that occurred earlier today, CBS News reported.

Additional injured victims were sent to another hospital, entitled Del Sol Medical Center where they also revealed to CBS News that the hospital received 11 patients due to the shooting as they stated that seven people were in critical conditions while two more ended up in stable conditions. The ages of patients ranged from 35 to 42.

Law Enforcements marched in a group during their investigation. There's not much information on the motives of Crusius's actions behind the massive crime at this time although it was one major crime that impacted their community.
