Two Officers Arrest Man Through Slavery Conditions In Texas

Slavery still exist through the abusive power from law enforcements as proven by two officers who handcuffed an african american person in Texas last week. However, they've decided to extended his punishment when officers on a horseback, P. Brosch and A. Smith tied his hands with a rope, causing Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump to step up and fight on behalf of Donald Neely, 43, Monday.

Crump mentioned that he immediately documented a formal request for the footage release of the body camera videos. Two options are laid out for the Galveston Police Department, either present the footage publicly in 20 business days or they can battle the request by delivering the footage to the Attorney General in Texas, according to NBC News.

"Until you release that video from the body camera, we're not going anywhere," Crump demanded. "We're going to stay here and stand with Neely and his family." Neely was suffering from mental illness.

Crump revealed an ultimatum where if the Galveston Police Department doesn't release footage of Neely's arrest, he will organize a march on September 1st, NBC News also reported. "If you don't release it in 30 days, we're going to invite other civil rights advocates, and we're going to march on the same streets that you dragged Neely down on a rope," he added.

Not presenting the videos of their abuse towards Neely shows that they've revealed their character as a person without realizing it stated Crump. "If these officers are good people of good character, then the Galveston Police Department should have no problem releasing the body cam video so we can see for our own selves...how they talk to and treat an unarmed black citizen who was suffering form mental illness," he also explained.

Crump was not playing around when he continuously demanded that the Galveston Police Department to release the footage. "We're asking you to releasee the body cam recording from these officers immediately and start to heal this community and in many ways, start to heal America," he said.

Manager of the Galveston City, Brian Maxwell revealed last week that Neely's arrest is authorized to be independently investigated through the Texas Ranger Division of the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Galveston County Sheriff's Office.

"This is such a polarizing event that it is imperative that we have an independent, third-party investigation to ensure we address any potential issues," Maxwell stated.
