A new ep is set to drop by Dance Hall/Reggae artist Zoo Rass as of this week. Usually, Rass considers the topics of party anthems, love, relationships, and dancing in his music. However, he plans to release his project, "Mood Swings,' differently.
The title of his ep is suitable as Rass gets people through multiple moods when they listen to his upcoming project.
"Although the project is very short, you will be taking through an emotional rollercoaster for a little under 12 minutes," he said. "No matter who you may be or what social class your in everybody goes through mood swings."
His upcoming ep release is much different from his last ep "Attraction" where Rass focussed on qualities of characteristic forms when approaching a woman, followed by the genres and sounds in music.
"Attraction dug into different traits and characteristics that I felt when attracted to a female as well as dipping into different genres and sounds such as Hip Hop, R&B, Soca, EDM, Afrobeat, and Dance Hall," Rass further explained. "It was a very versatile project but was definitely more centered towards the ladies but something everyone can dance to." However, "Mood Swings" will be released with a different approach.
Despite that dance tunes will probably not be a major priority on his project, dance vibes will still be included, yet, Rass's ep will additionally consist more of emotions throughout his singles like "Happy," and "Oh Nah Nah" which differs from his other tracks "Everyday" and "Un-Loyalty” as those two songs guides you through a deeper mindset when hearing his ep, Rass said.
The title 'Mood Swings" is a representation of his ep as he takes you through a journey. "The project will literally be mood swings throughout. You'll hear one track that will leave you confused, uncertain and thinking of being somewhat of a negative emotion then the next track will have you up, dancing, and being more positive then ever," Rass also explained.
"Ultimately I think it will be something that everybody can relate to especially if you are a creative of any sort," he added. Rass isn't alone considering he's invited a few featured artist for his new ep.
You will be able to hear featured artists like Alhaji Currency and Hero, two artists who are apart of his single "Oh Nah Nah." His single escalated on the charts ever since it was released in April, as his track was streamed nearly over 40k times worldwide across all platforms.
Ross's ep will be available on all streaming platforms, and also digital outlets, followed by his website ZooRassOnline.com.
You can stream his ep on streaming platforms, and furthermore purchase his ep which is ensured not to disappoint. "Mood Swings" is set to be released this Friday with four songs, which equals to 11 minutes of good music.
