With a passion for music, Kay Amira is ready to step into the industry by any means, as a R&B singer by any means. Amira has performed at Summer Walker's show, and d also K. Michelle's show but another major move that Amira includes to her resume is her ep release entitled "Girl Next Door."
Amira's commitment on putting her ep together for the release remained strong despite the challenges that she faced along the way before it dropped. The singer also ensures that she will continue to reveal her voice to the world with effective strategies.

News For People: When did you decide to pursue a career in music?
Kay Amira: I decided to pursue a career in music at a very young age. I come from a very talented family. I've always been inspired by music. It's kind of something that's been in my blood but I just started getting serious about it a couple of years ago. Music has always been my passion.
News For People: How would you describe your music?
Kay Amira: I definitley do hip hop & r&b music but I would say it's very hard-hitting but very soft at the same time because of my tone. It's like Aaliyah would say 'Street but sweet.' That's how I would describe my music.
News For People: What makes your music stand out from other artists in r&b music?
Kay Amira: I would say what makes my music stand out is the fact that it's very authentic. The things that I've been through with my mom. I'm very close with my mom. Those are the things that I write about. Just the fact that it's authentic.
News For People: Who are some of your influences in r&b music?
Kay Amira: Numbr one, Aaliyah forsure. Just like I said, the sweet and street style she had really inspired me because it was so authentically her and I'm so big on being myself and loving myself but also my mom. My mom was a big influence to me and really wanted me to peruse or offer me to do big in general.
News For People: What are your thoughts on the current status of r&b music?
Kay Amira: I think it's in a dope place. We have Summer Walker, Ella Mai, Kash Paige. Everybody seems to be respected nowadays. They're not afraid to say anything. I think it's definitely at a dope place.
News For People: What was the experience like to perform for Summer Walker show at the Noto Night Club in Philadelphia , and also for K. Michelle's tour: Over Some D*ck?
Kay Amira: It was definitely amazing. I actually performed at Summer Walker's after party but I didn't get to go to her show beforehand and it was amazing to see her perform. It's definitely got me something hype to do after her. It was definitely different. It was a really big crowd in the club scene. I've never done that before. It's definitely a cool experience forsure.
K. Michelle's show was amazing as well. I've never performed in front of so many people by myself before. It definitely was motivation and it made me wanna keep going so I can just do that for the rest of my life.
News For People: Did you ever have a discussion with Summer Walker or K. Michelle about collaborating in the future?
Kay Amira: I did get to meet K. Michelle for a brief moment. We didn't get to talk very long.
News For People: What was the response you've receive for your latest ep release "Girl Next Door."
Kay Amira: I feel like the ep was a great representation of my growth over the year because I worked so hard. I was in the studio. As they say 'Late nights, early mornings.' and having to go to my 9-5 to make this thing. I feel like the moment I realize it was happening, like my release parties, and the ep alone which was amazing, it was just a huge moment for me because it was like wow this is what I worked for and it was definitely an amazing experience.
News For People: re you working on a project that people can expect?
Kay Amira: I'm working on a lot of new music. I'm gonna be releasing a few visuals for the ep. So that's basically what I'm focussed on.
News For People: What motivates you to continue your journey in the music industry?
Kay Amira: In all honesty, the little girl in me, knowing that it's been my dream forever. Also, I have people I look up to in that way, and I just wanna tell people to never give up on your dreams and work hard as required to make them come true.
News For People: What advise would you give to a young r&b artist who is also perusing a career in music?
Kay Amira: Just have fun with it. I feel like the moment that you get too serious, and don't have fun with it, it's not fun anymore.It becomes work. Just be yourself. Just be authentic with yourself and have fun with it and be creative.
News For People: Do you have ideas for visuals that your working on as part of your ep?
Kay Amira: Look out for visuals that are definitely apart of the ep, or covers on my Instagram page. Everybody in the house are on quarantine, lol. I'm definitely gonna release covers on my page.
