Kobe Bryant's induction into the 2020 NBA Hall of Fame was suggested as a finalist, and now made official since last night by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as the legendary star player would headline the ceremony.
His induction is followed by other key players who made an impact in the league to make their legacy memorable. According to ESPN, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett were also announced to join Bryan to be inducted into this year's Hall Of Fame.
As an inductee, the announcement came as appreciative for Garnett when he found out that he would the 2020 class with Bryant, in the same city where his high school senior year was spent when he played at Farragut Academy before he was drafted as a fish player, by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
"He'd probably think this is pretty awesome right here," Garnett said, smiling, when he was asked of what his 18-year-old self would say in 1995 of Friday's announcement. "The Hall of Fame is something you don't really think about. It just happens," he added, ESPN also reported.
Bryant's passing on January, 26th was a complete shock to the entire NBA organization when multiple reports revealed that he passed away with his 13 year old daughter Gianna, and seven other passengers aboard his private helicopter.
Kobe Bryant's legacy lives on forever, and now he's respectively inducted into the 2020 NBA Hall Of Fame.
