The National Basketball Association has come to a final decision of when the season will continue, and it will resume on May 8 despite it's ongoing suspension as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Afterwards, teams were notified of their decision earlier today via a statement from the league which reveals that they will work with multiple teams to recognize different methods for cities that holds restricted places as ordered by government, CNN reported.
"The purpose of these changes is to allow for safe and controlled environments for players to train in states that allow them to do so," the statement reads, CNN also reported.
Places that are restricted by the NBA consist at least four players in a facility at once, followed by no coaching or group activities like practice. Furthermore, players are banned from usage in non-team facilities.
The 2019-2020 season was suspended last month but with the leagues' plan to ensure that the season continues, it's a different approach. However, there's a positive side as basketball will resume.
