The photos of Kobe Bryant's helicopter crash has already grown suspicion as to why deputies kept it a secret, yet, the situation gets even more stranger as it was reported that eight deputies are responsible for the hidden photos.
According to TMZ, L.A. County Sheriff Alex Villanueva revealed the number amount of deputies involved Monday, stating that he's "shocked" by their recent scandal as he described their actions as "a punch to the gut." He added that the images were deleted, and the deputies involved with the situation will meet disciplined actions, and an investigation will be launched.
In addition to the Sheriffs statement,Villanueva also stated that a "sense of betrayal" surrounds the families who lost their loved ones during the helicopter crash. In addition, he alleged that two groups were involved at the scene, authorized to capture photos, coroner and NTSB investigators,TMZ also reported.
Although wrongful actions were placed, he claimed it's not a crime on law enforcements to take photos. However, Villanueva included it's still against policy of the department and stated an apology to the families.
