Warriors Survive Game 5, Durant Injured

Raptors expected to win one more game for the championship, yet, a surprise return from Kevin Durant made them think otherwise last night during game 5 at the Scotiabank in Toronto.

The game was owned by Golden State since the start of the quarter when three-point-plays were made by Durant and Steph Curry for their team to gain the lead early as the score was 13-10. Warriors were off to a strong start but it didn't stop the Raptors to play competitively. Raptors gained the lead momentarily but their rivals ended their momentum when Klay Thompson scored a three-point shot.

Golden State was all business when shots were continuously made thanks to DeMarcus Cousins's multiple layups and a three-point play in the second quarter. Kawhi Leonard and Marc Gasol wanted to ensure that their team didn't trail extremely behind which motivated them to make shots of their own where the score resulted to 57-50, with Golden State still in the lead.

Raptors showed that they shouldn't be counted out when Kyle Lowry stole the ball after he noticed a bad pass from Warriors and passed the ball to Pascal Siakam to score a layup making it a three-point game, 57-54, with Golden State in control. Although Durant suffered an injury of a torn Achiles, Golden State was victorious with the final score of 106-105.

Player's Stats:

Stephen Curry 31 pts

Klay Thompson 26 pts

Kevin Durant 11 pts
